Linkage with PAC and SMC
BIGM has completed twenty-two batches of Policy Analysis Course and seven batches of Strategic Management Course. In the Policy Analysis course, participants identify a social problem. They gauge the depth of the problem, in an attempt to understand if it is worth addressing. They conduct context analysis and root cause analysis. Based on root cause mapping, they prepare a set of policy options. Analysing the options from various dimensions and using multiple scientific tools, such as PESTEL, Multi-criteria analysis, regression analysis, and benefit-cost analysis, they select the best option.
The policy analysis course ends with an implementation plan of the various policies. However, the policy-making process does not end there. A full-proof strategy is required so that the policies can be implemented. The Strategic Management Course imparts knowledge and skills of strategic analysis to implement and materialise the policies effectively.
At this juncture, after selecting the policy and their strategic execution, the next pivotal dimension is that of leadership. Effective leadership is vital to channel the policies for optimal output. It does not suffice just to formulate the policy and its strategy; we need a strong leader who will ultimately lead the team with the missions and go to great lengths to attain the desired impact. Without dynamic leadership, it is not possible to achieve optimal outcomes even in the presence of optimal resources.
The course “Rise to Lead: Developing Future Leaders” equips aspiring leaders with essential tools like negotiation, networking, problem solving, monitoring, evaluation and etc. By leveraging these skills, participants can navigate their leadership journey with creativity, resilience, and a forward-thinking approach, enabling them to lead innovative interventions ahead of their time.
