Sheikh Ashiqurrahman Prince is currently serving at the Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management as a Professor and the Executive Editor of the BIGM Journal of Policy Analysis. 

Sheikh has done his PhD in marketing from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, which is ranked among the global top 200. He has also done his MBA from the University of Wales, UK. He completed his first MBA from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and BBA from the same university prior to his MBA in the UK.  Sheikh has expertise in quantitative research and data analysis including SPSS, AMOS, SmartPLS, Process Macro for SEM and R for data analysis. He has been gathering years of teaching experiences as a faculty in autonomous institute like BIGM, public universities like Gopalganj Science and Technology University in Bangladesh & KMUTT in Thailand and in leading private universities like AIUB, BRAC and ULAB in Bangladesh. He is a member of Chartered Management Institute, UK and U.S. Department of State Exchange Alumni.  

Sheikh has published articles in top tier International Journals including Scopus, SSCI, ESCI, Web of Science & ABS quality index like Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, Journal of Poverty, Social Science and Humanities Open, Journal for Global Business Advancement, Cogent Business and Management as well as in top National journals in Bangladesh like Open and Chittagong University Journals. He has also published books and book’s chapters by leading International Publishers like McGraw Hill & Springer. His research interests cover a wide spectrum of Business and Management such as Consumer Behaviour, Microcredit Business and Human Resource Management. Sheikh also publishes op-ed in newspapers frequently.  

Sheikh has held academic administrative responsibilities such as Dean, Chairman, a Member of Regent Board and Academic Council, Provost of a Hall in Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU), Bangladesh. He has also served as a conference Chair, 16th and 15th Annual Conference of Academy for Global Business Advancement (AGBA) held in Delhi 2019 and Bangkok 2018 respectively. He has received Global scholar & Best Paper Awards by AGBA at IIT, Delhi in 2019. He has also attended four international conferences held in South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and India.  

Sheikh also supervised PhD students of GSTU, Bangladesh as well as worked in a transnational cooperation project (MELBU) funded by Erasmus+ & European Union.
